Upcoming Election Bond Measures STEVE SUPPORTS:

(Vote on or before November 5)

  • City of Manhattan Beach Bond Measure MMB locally controlled funding for essential City services and improvements.   A one-half cent sales tax increase would generate about $5.2 million annually for essential services, such as: fixing potholes and maintaining City Streets, keeping sidewalks infrastructure, and parks, safe and well-maintained.  Making improvements to roads and expanding sidewalks where needed.   Approximately 61% of sales tax revenue collected in Manhattan Beach is paid by visitors.  For more information visit the City's website:   www.manhattanbeach.gov
  • Manhattan Beach Unified School District Bond Measure RLS a local funding measure to support local schools much needed upgrades without increase tax rates.  Most of the building infrastructures were built over 70 years ago and need repairs and updates.  The measure which simply extends the current school bond rate would generate approximate $200 million to fund local school repairs.
